Money Well Spent

Here we are at this year’s final rush already (can you believe it?) and some libraries are starting to look at their budgets and spending for next year.

If you’re looking at training opportunities for 2016, please consider the upcoming OLC Technical Services Retreat at the Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center on March 31st through April 1st.

The topics will be timely and will cover a broad range of interests. RDA, linked data, digitization, and materials repair are just a few. There will also be some un-programs that just might get you thinking in new directions.

With the opportunity to learn so much at one retreat, it’s a no brainer. This is most definitely money well spent.

Stay tuned for more information soon.

Handouts and slides from the 2015 OLC Convention and Expo

If you missed the Convention & Expo (CAE) last month, or wanted a copy of the slides or handouts from a program, you can still see the slides and handouts from some programs presented the CAE for a limited time at the OLC’s web site here.

Two Technical Services Division-sponsored programs have slides available there (The Patron-Publisher : local authors @ the library, and Digitization, Metadata, and Selecting a CMS: A Case Study).

The slides for the Patron-Publisher program are also available on a more permanent basis courtesy of the panelists:
